Thanks for downloading the UTV Trails app. This mobile app is the only GPS you’ll need in your off-road mapping arsenal. UTV Trails is a user-centric, crowd-sourced trail database we’ve built from the ground up. Thanks to people like you, it’s getting better every day.
We’ve created a basic guide to using the main features of the app. Have any questions that aren’t answered in this guide? Use the “Contact Us” link at the top of the page.
Let’s take a ride!
Use this menu to change the appearance of the map. Choices include a terrain (computer generated map showing topography), satellite (map generated from a real image) and standard (basic computer generated street map). This menu also allows you to toggle the visibility of trails and waypoints. For more info on Map Layers, click here.
This allows you to share your location publicly or with a specific group of people (channel). For more info on Location Sharing, click here.
Tapping this arrow turns on/off the GPS Location on your device. Useful for low-battery situations where you want to view the map, but don’t need your location.
This rotates the map as you turn so the top of the device aligns with your direction of travel
When you’ve panned or zoomed to an area on the map the crosshair button will recenter the map to your location.
Waypoints allows you to designate a specific obstacle that would be useful to others using the trail. This includes wildlife sightings, dead ends, roadblocks and more. More information about waypoints can be found here.
