All users can download a map for offline use. Just tap download button on the main app screen.
To specify the map you’d like to download, zoom the map to include the area you want you want included and tap map downloads button. Name the download (Ex: Little Moab) and set your zoom range and download.
The more specific the map area, the better. Map downloads can be large and there is a high risk of download failure if your area is too large. Also, they can take up an enormous amount of space on your device. Try downloading large areas in chunks or reducing the zoom range for high efficiency. Map downloads automatically show up on the screen when there is no internet connection.
Premium Subscription holders ($14.99/yr) can automatically download trails, trail data, and waypoints . If you want trails stored on your device when you do not have cell service, you need a subscription
- By default, map downloads are disabled while on cellular due to size. You can turn on cellular downloads in Settings.
- Trails/Waypoints you recorded will always be visible to you regardless of map downloads or subscription status.
- You can view or delete map downloads in Settings.
